FC Barcelona and Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho once named his all-time favorite UEFA Champions League XI, snubbing former Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo and including four of his former international Selecao teammates.
In 2015, FIFA's double world player of the year was asked to name his all-time XI, and he has not included himself like many others before.
Since announcing his selection five years ago, Spain’s Real Giants have won three consecutive Champions League titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018, inspired by the competition’s top scorer, Ronaldo.
With 128 strikes in elite club competition in Europe, Ronaldo is widely regarded by many as the best Champions League player of all time, but, when Ronaldinho appointed his team, the Portuguese striker did not makes the cut.
Today, the Brazilian could see things a little differently, even if his first three players included three players with whom he played. Perhaps surprisingly, Ronaldo Nazario made his team, despite the legendary No. 9 who never lifted the trophy.
